MAHWAH, N.J. -- Kathleen Hefner, of Mahwah, died Wednesday, Nov. 16. She was 59.
She was a dedicated veterinarian and a graduate of Cornell University. She was the owner of the Animal Hospital of Saddle River. She also was the medical director of the Onyx Breezy Foundation.
She is survived by her companion, Peter Hubbard; children, Dana, Dara, Jeffrey and Jason Hubbard; and grandchildren, Mackenzie and Peyton Hubbard.
She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Ann Moran; and parents, Harold and Hattie Hefner.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell. A funeral service in celebration of her life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hackensack Cemetery.
